Maria Louchios has been teaching Spanish and Art for nearly three decades. Maria graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Art Education/Graphic Design from the University of Illinois in Chicago and Champaign. She finds joy in listening to students express themselves in Spanish. Maria has been an instructor since 2016 with D214 Community Education and she feels learning to speak the language is always advantageous when traveling abroad. The students in Maria’s classes learn how to ask simple questions and to answer with simple statements. Students create dialogue for introductions, various shopping situations, weather, street directions, dining, traveling, and medical assistance. Every term, her classes celebrate with a fiesta of flan! Ole!
