Join CET for a special holiday celebration at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet. Inspired by the classic film, White Christmas, the spectacular holiday program will take you on a musical journey from a World War II performance for the troops, to the glamour of a Florida nightclub and finally to the charm and simple beauty of a New England town. We’ll have a Holiday luncheon at the Mansion, which will be beautifully decorated for the holidays! Enjoy the Award Winning cuisine and take a trip back in time to experience a “Victorian Holiday”. The Mansion, built in 1873 on Joliet’s Silk Stocking Row by railroad magnate Jacob Henry, is a fully furnished mansion known for its beauty and old Victorian charm and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Before the performance and lunch, you will be able to tour the mansion and its adjacent Old Central Church on the Estate grounds. The church’s beautifully decorated exterior and interior is a classic example of grand churches built in that era. The chapel features hand carved pillars, a massive domed ceiling and a working pipe organ. Don’t miss this Victorian style Christmas spectacular!
